Mg Zr 160 Motorway Driving

Every time I end up on a motorway I always spend half of my time wishing my car had a 6th gear or a longer 5th.



I am looking to add a longer 5th gear in place as around town I only use gears 1-4 and could do with a longer 5th for long motorway journeys and to improve my mpg. I can change all of the parts over myself so it will be a weekend job once I have everything I need.



The zr 160 has enough power to go from 20mph to top end in 5th gear so I could easily see it being fine with a longer gear.



Any ideas of where to start looking ?
