Possibly Breaking MGF VVC
I am sadly giving serious thought to breaking my MGF.
The head gasket has failed and given the overall condition of the car and the price I paid it doesn't seem economical to repair.
It is a mk2 1999 VVC in solar red on around 90k. Every panel is marked with rust in the usual places. Interior is in good shape and it passed its MOT in December with only minor advisories.
I am not a mechanic so there are some parts that I won't be able to remove such as hydragas cylinders etc. I know these are worth money and I would be willing to sell parts cheaper if people want to remove themselves.
The other option is to sell complete as a non runner.
Anyone got any advice on value as is? Value of spares etc?
I don't take this lightly as I don't like seeing cars broken up but I feel that the cost of repairs plus anything I get for it could be put towards a better one.
