620 Ti up for grabs
Not mine, but I'm happy to act as a go between if it helps keep the car in the Rover community.
Bloke I work with has a very decent 2000 yr 620 Ti which is his daily commuter/rolling restoration, but basically, following a year of spending money on it, a head gasket failure at 152k (and lack of garage facilities) pushed him to the point where he's decided to get something newer.
He's had to pay a garage to do the HG replacement - they fitted new HG, lapped valves, new cambelt etc and it's back on the road. It was put through it's MOT at the same time, so good for 12+ months. Bodywork is good - arches are all in good condition. Wheels are OZ. It's also had new discs/pads in the past year. Paint (Tahiti?) is ok but not perfect - scuff on front bumper and minor stone chips. Best if you look for yourself. Interior is original black recaros.
Gearbox is the original and works well, but it's got the usual PG1 grumbling bearings (inc release bearing) - not a major job, especially if you take the opportunity to fit steel caged diff bearings at the same time!
If you're looking for a Ti, this one is well worth a look. I've got 3 cars on the go so missus says "No" :-(. He's looking for £1,200 but he needs to recoup costs of the HG job so I'm sure there's room for a sensible offer.
Car is on the Wirral but he works in Warrington, so I'm sure viewing could be sorted there if need be. I've got a few more pics but this is the car below. PM me with contact details if interested and I'll pass them to on to him.
Cheers
