retrofit

is it possible to retrofit the mk 1 air vent off the top of the dash.. or is it missing the correct pipework underneath.. also has anyone retrofitted anything to replace the cubby hole on the right side of the dash, below the steering wheel.. im sick of mine falling out...lol
