Rover 75 Fuel system Issue

My 75 suffered from poor hot starting and I also noticed that the under-bonnet pump was louder than usual. I did tap the pump a few times and it helped, but only for a short while. I could not hear the in tank pump and so concluded it had failed. I was correct - it was dead.
