Rover 75 Tourer Connie SE 1.8t (Spares Or Repair)

After ten months, my wife and I have decided it is time to let my 75 tourer go after having another issue with it. We are moving house soon and as much as I would like to keep it and bring it back to its former glory I just don't think I will have the time or the money,

I am listing it as spares or repair due to the fact that either the battery is not charging or something is draining it (It sat for a week and not even the alarm light was on)

Car: Royal Blue (I think)

Model: 75 Tourer Connie SE Turbo

Engine: 1.8t

Year: 2003

Mileage: 70,000

I will list the good points first, then the bad and then some pics,

Good

  • In June 2011, the car had a re-conditioned head, turbo, piston rings, head bolts, head gasket and oil seal

  • Clutch kit and dual mass fly wheel fitted in Sept 2013

  • MOT till Oct

  • Screws and caps on front number plates have been changed as the caps had broken and the screws had rusted

  • Disintegrated Shannon tube has been replaced with neoprene pipe

  • Magnacor HT leads (May 2014)

  • New coil packs (May 2014)

  • New battery (May 2014)

  • New rear springs (May 2014)

  • New CV boot and joint on passenger side (May 2014)

  • Spy hole mod and new cabin filter (April 2014)

  • Engine under refitted with new screws (some of the clips were also replaced)

  • Passenger side bonnet cable and latch have been replaced, along with a new bonnet cable splitter box, the splitter box mod was also done at the same time

  • The sunroof drains had leaked, water was cleared out and sunroof drain union mod was done to prevent it happening again

  • Air light keep coming on intermittently so air bag cables were re-wiring and side impact sensor on drivers side was replaced (no problems since)

  • New inspection hatch cover on passenger side (now held on with a proper screw)

  • New bulb in glovebox

  • All door cards rehung

  • New centre rear headrest

  • New front wipers

  • Chrome trim on passenger side re-fitted

  • Outer door seal on passenger rear door replaced

  • Starter motor cable soldered (keep coming loose and stopping the car from starting)

  • New boost cable valve (Oct 2014)

  • New front Oxygen sensor

  • Door lock pin surrounds replaced with union jack design (they are designed for the mini but the old ones got broke when I tried to rehang the door cards that had come loose and I liked the look of them)

Bad

  • Loosing a small amount of coolant and oil (only started happening after Christmas when it was very cold, and as the car doesn't get used everyday I never got round to having it looked at)

  • Leak in the boot on the passenger side (I looked into boot couldn't work out where it was coming from)

  • The glass on the tailgate doesn't open (the latch box was replaced a week or so ago and it didn't fix it so at the moment it is disconnected (I put a post on the forum and was told it is probably a loose or snapped cable)

  • The documented replacement of the cambelt was in 2009 which means it is due (I would assume it was replaced when the engine was rebuild but it doesn't say so)

  • Jacking point pad missing on front passenger side

  • Headlight on drivers side is yellowing

  • Passenger side front fog light has blue paint on from a poor touch up job (not by me, I tried to clean it off without success)

  • Only 1 key

  • Some damage to bodywork on passenger side which is shown in Pics (again not done by me...when I went to see the car it was parked by a wall and I didn't think anything of it....)

  • Only part service history, basically I have the service book with has everything upto 2013 within in it, the log book, the paperwork from me buying the car, tax discs for 2013, 2014 and 2015, MOTs certificates for 2014 and 2015, the invoices for parts I have brought for the car and a manual note of when the service was done last year (done by a friend of my dad)
