Warning- tazu master/coupling
I recently decided to update the clutch master and went for a new part even thought the OE wasnt leaking.Big mistake,,
Briefly fitted the new tazu master sunday and I guess after 30 years around cars you get a gut feeling, and something told me the coupling should not be in 2 parts held by a c-clip. But you count on folks that make a product testing before it goes into production. In any case i would have preferred to use the old plastic line but for the fact that the OE doesnt have a pipe thread but instead a solid push-pin fitting.
Well the very next day after doing the shopping went out to parking , put foot on pedal and Whhosh,,,,,gone,, tow truck came and i explained to the drive it was the first breakdown I had EVER in the trusty 75.
After the annoyance had abbated somewhat, I examined it yesterday and to my amazement the light alloy clip/hasp that holds the last section of the new coupling had broke ( the tazu coupling to slave coupling comes in 2 parts).
I am faced with the situation of putting back in the old part as I least its a known /known that has done 100k without issues with a 'normal' coupling.
I will take photos of the snapped clip that fell onto the gearbox and in all likelyhood take an action against them here in Brussels where consumer law is a big issue for inferior workmanship materials. I have resevations as to the true "origin" of these parts.
If you have any other issues with this company please contact in this regard.
Thanks
Kurt
