ZR TDi Pump issues

Hi all



So ive had my Zr for about a month now started juddering and i gave it to my mechanic who said it needed a new pump. So i picked up a second hand working pump that after a week of trying to get working my mechanic has said the pump and ecu need coding.



After this he got an auto sparky in and has now said its no good and i should just sell the car as is!!



Im just wondering if anyone has had issues like this and if its actually an easy fix?
