Servicing the Rover 45 2.0 TDi
Good morning (Insert correct time zone here).
I have recently got my first Rover. I got the Rover 45 2.0 TDi. It hasn't been driven in over a year. I got the MOT done after placing and or repairing all 4 door handles, wiper blades, battery and door trims.
Now that its MOT'd I want to do some more to it.
Firstly I want to service the car myself. I have seen that both Halfords and Andy Paige do service kits (any idea which is better, price and service wise)
I see Ebay also has the parts but seeing as the oil doesn't seem to come with it there doesn't seem to be a point in it.
Any idea how I find the amount of oil, coolant, break fluid etc that I will need for the service?
The car has done 120901 miles. So do I do the cam and timing belts etc? I have no idea if this is even something I should attempt? Is it rocket science level or could a slightly mechanically minded individual get it right?
If I remember Any Paige charged about £80 for the service kit ( filters oil etc, no break pads or belts) and Halfords charge around £180 do it themselves?
Ok so this has been a bit ramble, huge apologies.
So if anyone could let me know where to find the service parts list plus maybe the instructions for servicing the 45 I would be very appreciative.
Also any idea where I can either buy a drivers door (complete) or the mirror, handle, winding arms (window) and the trim from behind the window I would be very grateful.
Thanks for reading this. DOn't shout too loud please if I asked dumb questions.
