Rover 800 brake caliper carrier bolts specification
Rover 800 brake caliper carrier bolts specification
as we all know , one often finds that the 2 bolts holding the front and rear brake caliper carrier bolts onto the front and rear hubs on Rover 800s, are often abused and in a bad condition , when one comes to remove them to fit new discs each side.
Does anybody know the bolt spec size ( i think they are actually machine screws in engineering speak) for both front and rear brake bolts, so I can order some in advance and be ready. I fancy the stainless steel type A2 70 to replace the carbon steel ones that rust, but I dont know the sizes ref diameter/ length and pitch of the thread . I know the back ones are a machine screw ( ie screw along all the length) but dont know if front are the same type and size or if they are not a machine screw at all but a bolt with a collar part unthreaded.
Any facts gratefully received
