Ti immobiliser

Hey guys,

My Ti unfortunately came without the red learning key and as I only have one black key need to get my new cut genuine key programmed.

I have a full T4 diagnostic set (took some time acquiring) so can interrogate and program and know that without the red key I cant.

My question is, If i get a new immobiliser unit with red key from rimmers can I program my existing working key to the new unit or not?

I am guessing that it should just be plug and play with the Immobiliser then with the learn key in overwrite the existing code with the new but don't want to just try it and end up with an immobilised car.

If anyone has any experience or knowledge in this area it would be much appreciated. I have already managed to program a replacement fob which works and the new cut key opens doors and turns on ignition.
