Indicators and hazards not working
Whilst driving the daughters ZS today I noticed indicators have failed along with hazards. When I got back I checked fuse and change relay under dash as this sorted the fault last year but not today.
Problem is no indicators and fuse in engine bay blown, replace fuse and right indicator works but operating left indicator or hazards blows fuse.
So battery off, battery tray off and as mentioned by others on forum wiring harness has rubbed against under side of battery tray and is earthing out indicator wire. So simple fix all taped up and tucked away from tray edge to stop repeat of fault.
I know it's been on here before but I thought I would mention it today to warn any newer forum users who may have not seen this fault. I will be removing the battery and tray on my ZS tomorrow to check it, haven't had any problems but worth a look to prevent this from happening on my ZS and would advise others to do the same before winter returns.
Hopefully it maybe of use to someone and could save them money rather than taking it to auto electrician.
