How to unlatch door lock from inside

Soooo my drivers door has decided to give up.

I've managed to get the door card off, undone the window runner, but I'm not sure how I get access to the latch so I can open the door?

I've read some people destroy them. I don't see the point. If the problem is what I expect it to be I can fix it.

Shame I even replaced the locks. My old one made a grinding noise (though never failed), so I swapped it for this good unit and now it's failed with no warning
