Changing HT leads

I'm going to change the HT on my F. My leads don't have the coils on the plug caps.

Everything looks straight-forward, but for the lead that goes from the distributer to the coil. This lead disappears out of sight behind the engine.

Reading around it seems the coil is mounted under the inlet manifold.

Are there tricks to replacing this lead?
