Time to say farewell to my MGF

I'm afraid my lovely 2001 MGF CVT has succumbed to HGF and I've decided I'm going to dispose of it, partly because I can't really afford to get it repaired and also I don't fancy another Winter in a drop top. My question is whether to sell it on Gumtree or Ebay (I guess I'd get £150 tops) or offer it for breakage (bearing in mind I'm no mechanic). I would have thought the CVT gearbox would be worth a few quid on it's own.

Some thoughts and suggestions would be welcome please.
