One of the things that had irked dad about his 75 is the fact that the previous owner helped himself to pretty much the entire Highline system before selling the car on, leaving him with just the head unit.

Does having none of the equipment installed prevent the head unit from switching on? Because it appears to be totally dead, as if there's no power getting to it. I've checked for loose connections at the back, but it all seems pretty solid.

Any thoughts?
