Time to treat that rust...

Knowing the "creeping death" was starting to set in I thought it was time to treat it before winter sets in. Only looked at the offside front so far, but not as bad as I had imagined.

Pic 1:

Front wheel arch, some surface scabs had formed under the mud.

Pic 2:

Down at the junction of the arch liner and the side skirt. The rust patch appears to have been caused by the securing screw for the liner to the plastic skirt, being too long and penetrating through the (thin) factory underseal.

Pic 3:

Jacking point, after cleaning the area. Thankfully pretty much surface rust, so fingers crossed it will be ok after treatment and sealing.

Pic 4:

1st coating of the rust killer. Got to start somewhere!

Lots of late evenings still to come though...! But hopefully worth it in the end.
