I got mine early this year. An Orange MG6 TSE. My first car was a silver MG Maestro 1.6. Since then I've had a few cars/vans and the 6 is the best car I have owned. Researched for 2 years before buying and very happy. The gadgets/ extras on the TSE are worth the extra money. At the time only 500 quid of a difference. The 18" wheels fit the large size shell much better and being honest it looks the biz.I haven't hears a negative comments yet about it from anyone who sees it. Common points are it's a nice looking car. If you haven't bought one yet and have been wondering if you should I think you have to drive one. Go 30-40 around roundabouts is great fun. Inside it's a cool place to be.Anytime I'm in another car I have a look and still prefer mine. Albeit I haven't been in many new models. Focus skodas Vws mainly. All have quibbles but I think they're on the whole comparable. Only seen 4 Mg6s since I got mine! Growing up in council estates I never saw many flash sport cars. Best being the odd Datsun on wolfrace wheels or Alfasuds. Cortinas. Big Rovers.Pinnacle was seeing my first TR7 and asking the owner whenever we seen him to put the lights up and down. For me to get a sporty car that's a bit different is within reach with an MG. It's affordable unlike many sports cars. There are flashier cars but boy they're expensive.
Let's hope MG bring on the GT as a future replacement. It really looks like an evolution of the 6 design. I do prefer the 6's rear, Maybe now they could put on skinny slim lights to make it look better. Of course we also want Big wheels and a bit of a haunch. By the way try using the POI function on the Sat navigation. It will surprise you that you can search garages, shops etc. Helped me with not being able to enter an entire postcode. Anyway blabbed too much but there you go.
