Warm heater but no air lock in coolant!

Hi all. I have an odd problem with my 1.4K rover 200 in that the heat coming out of the heater is hot initially but after use it runs cool. If i turn the fan down it heats up again. The temp gauge also sits slightly lower than it does normally. Ive bled and re bled the coolant system via the bleed valve on one of the hoses so theres no air in the system. Anyone have any ideas?
