Can I convert an sdi injector

Hello all, I'm new to this forum although I've consulted it frequently in the past. My question is this, I wanted to upgrade to the sdi injectors but rather than buy a set outright I've bided my time and money and bought individual sdi injectors. My problem is I just realised I don't have a number 1 sdi injector with the needle lift sensor. Is it possible to take the sensor from the old ordinary injector or something like that? Any help is appreciated!
