Boody hell

Can't you tell the run season has started, I got into my car to go to work selected reverse nothing. The gear stick is just floating around, on a quick inspection everything seems to be still connected but cannot select any gears. Any thoughts. I'm well ****ed off, got a run with the South Wales lot on Saturday. If like last year its looks like i will miss yet another run out
