Lowering the VVC project ???

As we are getting close to being ready to fit the replacement front sub frame so now would be the time to consider lowering the ride height would it not.

Due to budget constraints have been reading about the way of lowering by trimming the knuckle pins, springs and the displacer pistons. As I understand it removing 8mm would lower the ride height to about 345 mm and 9mm to about 340 mm but retaining the full sphere pressure.

Lowering pins do similar but they do cost.

As I already have a pair of new front shocks that have damping both ways buying a match rear set would then make sense and not break the bank. Plus the slight extra compression damping would probably help the spheres in their lowered state.

Any help, advice on input on my idea would be most appreciated.
