Quick help with brake pads

Hi,

My rear pads didn't survive the last track day and need to be replaced. They seem crap TBH, but I have no clue what they are!

Car is MG TF with 150hp and Toyo T1R tyres, used by my wife as a daily driver and for track days abused, so needs really proper brakes. It has the SP1 option with the 4 pots on the front, which makes sourcing parts a bit more complicated for me (as I am not used to MG part suppliers). Front pads are good and lasted the abuse, discs all round good condition.

That leaves me with 2 options:

A- changing the rear pads only, but then finding a matching reference to the fronts and hoping that the ones that have been fitted previously where not the right ones as they didn't last average

B- Changing front and rear pads with the right ones regarding my needs. Safe, but perhaps an overkill if the front pads are already good ones?

THE big problem is I have no clue on what has been fitted by the previous owner as the pads have NO MAKE reference at all on them. I can read on the pads only this:

- front: LW 4009 90R-01010/2084

- rear: MF 2010 90R-01023/916

Does anyone knows what pads these are? Rover std?

In case all 4 need to be replaced, what shall I go for? Mintex 1144 allround? I read about Pagid somewhere aswell... If I replace all 4 pads, as I have the big brake option (AP 4 pots front, std rear) I need to find suitable pads allrounds... and also where to purchase them from. And that is not obvious when searching pads alone for the big brakes at reasonable costs. Any link or recommandation?

Many thanks for your help, when it comes to my Elise I know where to get Pagids or CL and avoid on my sticky tyres other brands, but I have yet no clue on what works for best for a MG on good road tyres, so any help is appreciated :-)

Claude
