Shes coming along nicely now...

Hi guys.

Well, I've had the car for a few weeks now and still love every minute of driving it. Just wish this weather would hurry up and get a bit better. Nightmare trying to keep it clean lol.

It didn't take me long before I starting doing bits and bobs to tidy it up and make it "mine" so to speak.

First things first was the air filter. So have made my own sealed unit and piping, using nothing but bits from B&Q's plumbing section. The pipe work was easy, but trying to find a piece of pipe to fit the cone filter inside of was harder than I thought. Settled for a piece of extraction pipe. Now the filter is nice and sealed under the battery tray and roars like a lion through stadium speakers lol.

Then came the mudflaps which I'm sure you have seen my other thread in this section regarding those ;)

Next was to get the exhaust sorted. So she now has a 125cel sports cat, straight through centre section, and she is going in at 12 o clock today to have the back box done so will update a bit later.

I have also come across a brilliant Carbon wrap. Didn't bother with the 3m stuff, and went with one from Oracal. A million times easier to use than the 3m version and looks so much more real due to it having a clear coat over the top. The fibres change colour as you move around it just like the real stuff. But so far I've done the middle part of the front bumper and the fins on the vents.

I shall get some more pics in a bit when the exhaust is done as I'm going to wrap the thin middle section of the rear bumper later, but heres how she is looking now after a nice bit of paint correcting :)

Will report back soon and may even try and get a video of before and after of the new back box ;)
