Would you keep it a Rover 25?? or ZR style

I rather love the look of a well cared for 25. Though the black side bumber rails are hideous and of course the awful faux wood on the interior. Beyond that, it looks great. Looks likes a Rover / ZR hybrid on the front, mine anyway and is sporty.

Most always want to make it a replica ZR. They are practically the same price except the higher insurance on the ZR. The 1.4l 25 and 1.4l ZR are the exaxt same body and engine. Minus the 20mm lowered ZR suspension, ZR alloys and ZR body kit.

Rover has such a bad rep with some with being a granny car to an extent. Though I am doing my 25 up a bit, I wonder if I should just keep my little British symbol that is the Rover badge on the car.

I am not trying to make a replica ZR, I could easily go buy a ZR if I wanted.



What is your take on the 25 versus the ZR?

Are replicas rather daft to do considering the low cost of both cars?

Is it worth keeping the Rover badges on with pride?
