218SLD Turbo lost all power
The old faithful has come to a grinding halt. It started out as HGF (bloody OAT coolant) and progressed to looking like a knackered turbo, so a replacement was sourced and fitted and the HG replaced.
Looked fairly good when she burst into life again. No mayo, temperature stable, oil and coolant remained clean. Problem was she wouldn't rev above 4,000 RPM in neutral with foot to the floor.
Ho hum, let herself use the car for a few trips to let the it settle after all the work. Still clean oil and coolant so the HG is fine but she now won't rev over 3k RPM and she has no power at all. Compression's fine. Lots of white smoke on startup which clears when it gets up to temperature. It's almost as if she's running out of fuel without the revving up behaviour that precludes yet another stagger with a fuel can and half-hour bleed session.
Opinions, please? What to look at next? I know it's an old car but it's a part of the family and I have been instructed, nay ordered, to find a solution post haste.
