Alternator belt tensioner

Have had a nightmare time of changing the alternator belt on my car this evening.

Anyway, managed to get it on, but have sheared off the 13mm bolt bit which you pull to release the tension.

I have found tensioners on Ebay, but was just wondering what you need to do to remove it.....ie, is it easy to remove, and what bolt(s) hold it in place

I have no plans on doing this any time soon, as there's no point in disturbing the new belt.

Also has releasing the tensioner was so awkward, does anyone have any tips in future for easy release....I had to use a 13mm socket and wrench and wedge it in place, as I couldn't get a spanner in there and get enough leverage to release it enough to get a locking pin through the hole.
