Is beeping and flashing normal with top down?

Evening,

We took the F out for her first proper top down run in the sun but started to worry that something was wrong as we got beeped about four times and flashed twice. Had to take her to a car park and check for any visible problems but there was nothing obvious - and I don't think it was my driving!



None of the other cars were MGs.



Is this normal, could the other drivers be MG owners?
