Not Sure What To Offer...
Going to look at a 2005 diesel MG ZS in the next few days but its a fixer upper!
The guy who is selling it says there are a few bits that need to be done with it.
1) The engine won't rev past a certain rpm- could be MAF sensor?
2) Radiator needs to be replaced.
3) One of the arch trims is damaged- Are these difficult to replace or are they bolt on?
4) Car has been parked up for the last two years.
What kind of money should I offer for it?
Especially when the machine has to have the VRT paid on it(≈800), taxed(710) and put through an NCT. After the mechanical and body work.
Would love a diesel ZS, but just wondering if this one sounds like too much hassle? They are an incredibly rare car in diesel form over here and this is only the third one I've seen for sale in the ROI in 2 years.
I've been reading up on the L-series to make sure I have an idea if there is anything else to watch out look for.
Is there anything else I should watch out for when checking out a ZS?
My main experience with MGR's has been 200s and an SW.
