Rover 75 cdti does not start

Hello rover guys,

I have a rover 75 cdti 2005 model year. I bought it just a few weeks ago and after a week use the engine just cut when it was idling and since that i cant start it.

I was told by a mechanic that the diesel pump was gone but i put 12V directly to the diesel pump and it pumps the diesel to the diesel filter so the pump works fine. The problem is that 12V is not coming to the diesel pump.

I tought it was because of a faulty crankshaft sensor but the rev counter moves at cranking so it seems to work.

Has anyone any idea what could be wrong with my rover?
