Trophy 160 Hydragas F-R Flow Restrictor

Hi folks - I wonder if anyone can help shed some light on my ongoing Hydragas woes...

I've blown 3 different spheres on the rear O/S and (as we all know) Trophy Spheres are as rare as Rocking Horse do-do! Two of them developed leaks and the third gassed out and is therefore solid, as if on the bump stops, even when pumped up. (Ouch)

I've had a chat with some MG Boffins (at a Pub... no, really!) who suggested that my possible causes are...

1) Stupidly bad luck for buying three dud rear spheres

2) Something is causing them to blow... possibly the Front/Rear Hydragas Fluid "Flow Restrictor", as fitted to the Trophy 160 Front/Rear Interconnect Pipe.

"...Under acceleration/ deceleration, fluid will be shunted away from the direction of weight transfer that results in exaggerated rates of pitch under these circumstances. This has been at least partly compensated for on the MGF by the implementation of anti-squat geometry on both front and rear suspension set ups. The MGF Trophy takes this process one step further by using a flow restrictor in the for-aft interconnection pipe ."

Do you guys think this flow restrictor could be faulty and is over stressing the rear - i.e. pumping fluid in but not out? If so, is there a replacement flow regulator or do I need to replace the whole Front-Rear O/S Interconnect? (and is this a big job!?)

Thanks for ANY help on this one... I'm stumped and I've got a sore backside from all this Hydragas nonsense!

All the best

Nigel
