Boot lid brake light

I noticed the "centre" brake light wasn't working. I took it apart and found that it was a bunch of lights and it was unlikely that they had all blown at the same time. fuses were ok. I peeled apart the harness and lo and behold what a mess ! All broken and some are patched up. I think that there are 4 pairs going up to through the lid. I located the centre light wiring and fixed it, but the rest is needing an over haul.



Any shortcuts, advice, suggestions ?
