bought a bargain
Well Ive gone and done it. A guy was advertising a Royal Blue fully optioned Rover 75 2.5 with an overheating issue for peanuts. Went and had a look at it,engine smooth, interior nice, paint on bonnet and boot a little faded, drove it for about 10 minutes, temp gauge perfectly normal but then steam out of the expansion cap, temp gauge still reading normal ? Thermostat leaking a little bit.
No oil in the water nor water in oil
Anyway, bought it ,getting it checked out by my mechanic and hoping its an air lock or stuck thermostat not a HGF.Going to try and get her up and going for another life instead of the breakers.
Has a small dent of the drivers side front fender, need a few interior trim bits as well, anyone know any breakers that will ship panels to Australia ?
Anyway of telling how old the belts are ? is there a visible indicator?
Its done 190,000km so should be coming up to its second set.
