Full moon

With a full moon due on Wednesday I am thinking of trying to capture a few pictures.



However previous attempts have resulted in a glow around the moon which detract from the picture.



So, what would be the best settings to use? I have heard that a fairly fast shutter speed is needed say 1/250.



Any thoughts from the experts on here?
