Great viewing

Great show on TV last night, Quest put a series on about the great Mini Cooper S, called "The cars that rocked" featuring Brian Johnson, frontman for AC/DC rock band. I for one thoroughly enjoyed it, as I used to own a 68 Cooper 998 (never could afford the "s") and to be honest it was the best driving car, as far as fun goes, that I've ever had. A maroon red colour with a black roof and a meaty roar when pressed, it could then beat anything on the road at that time, except the "s" of course. Number plate I remember to this day 4 VRA and it doesn't surprise me they won so many rally's. Mine had the rubber doughnut suspension which was quick and easy to replace, but later models reverted to hydrolastic which, in my opinion, spoilt the handling a lot.
