Paint colours

I have a streetwise painted in sea frost blue metalic. I had a small rust patch on the door, so sanded it back, treated with ku-rust then primed. So far, so good!



However, when I applied the colour paint today it looks much darker than the original. The paint is official Rover paint too (not an ebay special!). I haven't applied the lacquer yet - any advice to help blend it in?
