Removing internals of the ZS maniverter

i thought as a cheaper alternative to a new manifold, i would just bash out the internals of the standard ZS maniverter to try and de-restrict my exhaust system somewhat, after much swearing, lost skin and way too much of the filter dust breathed in i got it on the car and went for a test drive



The Results!



Is the car louder: No

Does it sound any different?: No

Is the car faster?: No

Was the entire excersise totally pointless: Yes



on the plus side, it hasnt brought up an engine management light as i had expected it would have, nor does the exhaust sound like a broken whoopie cussion like my partners vauxhall astra with the maniverter internals bashed out.
