Removing the paint?

Hey all,



I'm pleased to say my alloys are now fully refurbed and ready to hit the car when the have had a good buff and seal, pics to follow but in the mean time I do have a wheel related question.



My Brother has obtained a set of rover 800 wheels for his car that cost him not a penny....however someone has previously painted them and has clearly made a dogs dinner of it, it's so thick in places, way too much clearcoat, bubbles & imperfections galore. I've done a few sets of wheels before but this is the worst I've seen.



We have been sanding from 9am till 6pm and haven't even got half of the clear off two of the wheels, it's a real slog. Question is does anyone know of a decent product to get this off the wheels in less than 7 days a wheel, I've used stripper on a previous set of wheels when I was 17 with great results, but now the product I used which was metal safe no longer exists.



Any ideas?
