Rover 25 Immobilised!!!

Hi everyone, I'm hoping somebody on here can help. I have been browsing the forum for a while now regarding this problem but I havent found a solution yet, so I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere.

I have a 2006 Rover 25 with a problem. A couple of days ago I was driving home when the alarm LED came on on the dash and stayed lit. When I pulled into a car park, I found that the key fob,(Pektron not Lucas) wasnt working to lock the car. Assuming that this was because the battery was flat, I locked the car with the key and the alarm began to sound every 15 seconds, and went and bought a battery. I replaced the battery and attempted to sync, but still nothing.

As soon as I unlocked the car with the key the alarm started to go off continually, cue loads of accusing looks. I then found that the car would not start at all. I eventually got towed home and removed the battery, as the alarm was continuing to go off despite the car being locked, but with no fob I couldnt silence it.

After looking on here for advice I have checked all relevant fuses but nothing has blown. As the boot opener is on the fob, I cannot enter the boot, unless anyone can tell me how to manually open it, meaning that I cannot get to the wiring in the boot to check for damage.

During the fuse checks yesterday I attempted to start the car. It started but immediately the immobiliser kicked in and shut everything down. Have tried the EKA but it didnt work. This is incredibly frustrating now as I need the car for work and dont want to get rid.

Hopefully someone can help. Any ideas welcome. Thanks in advance
