Tight Hood to Close

The TF Hardtop came off at the weekend in hope for summer. I know its May but its Scotland and not that warm. Still could snow.

I have noticed that when raising the Softop it is very tight to close. It comes up easy until about 8 inches above the screen. You then have to reach across and appply a fair bit of pressure to get it the last bit.

The roof has the optional straps fitted and thinking if the car is 10 years old and the roof is in the condition it is then they have served their purpose well however at a cost of my wife being not too tall would not be able to apply the pressure needed to close the roof.



Is this normal for roofs with the straps fitted?



Might try raising the roof then pulling it down from the drivers seat rather than leaning acoss to push down.



Sure she could manage that.
