What videocam/mount system works for you?

For trackdays, mounts can't be suction-type and have to be securely bolted to the car. I've had reasonable results with a camera using DV cassettes on a mount i've made myself that bolts to the T-bar with a bracing strut to the dash. When I try using it with my Sony HX100V camera, although it claims to have extra-strength digital stabilisation, the picture is very sensitive to any vibration of the mount, and goes all wobbly round the edges. I've tried an even more rigid mount with no improvement, and it seems that the T-bar is just too flexible for this sort of camera. Before I lash out and buy a dedicated HD video, what videocams have folk found that work OK? I'm not going to be able to afford a GoPro, so are any of the others in the £50-70 range any good, and has anyone found a more vibration-resistant mount?

Watch a bit of one of my attempts here to see what I mean - and that's after YouTube has run its de-wobble routine on it!
