Fitting an exhaust trim to ZR 105 MK1

Hi my son has an MG ZR MK1 105, he's bought a 2nd hand exhaust trim off flea bay and when we've offered it up to fit it's not quite a perfect fit. It seems a fraction over size at the opening and does not perfectly follow the contours of the bumper unless you hold it on real tight.



After reading several posts regarding these I'm still unsure whether you have to be a bit firm to fit these or whether they should just fit snug straight on.

It came on the old trim and I had to remove the old Allen bolts so I think it's off a 160 ? Would this make a difference ? It's defiantly not for a mk2 ( we have a mk2 zr as well )



So basically do I have to shove it on and fit or should it just sit perfect. Before I bolt it in place
