starting issue

hi all

we have an mg ztt cdti diesel i work away so the car has got to be reliable for my wife. it all started with the starter motor which was spinning but not engaging to the flywheel (i thought it was a solenode problem) so i got a new starter and the trouble seemed to go away, now we have a turn key issue where the car starts but reluctantly(its as if the glow plugs need replacing)and when she parked it up the other day she had the same issue with the starter spinning but not engaging.

im at i bit of a loss but thinking this is some kind of sensor or electrical issue.

any ideas
