HiLine Multi play CD Player not working.....

Hi All, purchased a 75 Connie a few months ago, been stood for 2years and enough water in the Tyre well to keep Coy Carp!, I've replaced the TV Tuner & Radio Amp unit and all works apart from the multi CD player, just wont recognise discs when its loaded up, thought I had put them in upside down at first....... but no joy when I tried again, power to the CD player and cassette cartridge ejects ok, the head unit says that no CD's are loaded.......!!!

Any suggestions guys?
