Tappet Noise, trans surging
Hi all
I drive a 1993 Rover Metro 1.4 Si auto. It's only got 15,500 on the clocks. I noticed that there's a few things going on with it though, despite the low miles.
- One of the tappets is quite noisy during cold starts. Had an oil/filter change with 10w/40 semi-synthetic last weekend, so no danger of low oil there.
- Transmission surges on cold starts every few days. Transmission fluid was changed last weekend as well. It does this mostly in reverse.
Any ideas about these quirks?
Thanks
