How 'British' our our cars?

Listening to a purist banging on the other day about how very British our cars are..



But are they?



Where do the tyres come from? The brake pads? Clutches? Batteries.. hell even the petrol in your tank..



The foam from the seats? The carpet underlay.. for example.. the steel in the bodies..



Steppy owners have a German designed gearbox.. Who designed the PG1?



Like most UK companies.. MG doubtless would of sourced supplies from all over the world.. And often its all about cost..



I have imported a fair bit of kit from the States for my build.. simply because no one else sells the kit.. best example.. UltraLoc Ultra touch switches.. only available in America.. made in China ?!?!



I get why some are Royalists.. or proud Brits displaying the union flag on everything they can (Willdig lol) but without the rest of the world.. Our cars wouldn't exist
