Insurance Write Off - Hit From Behind

Some guy drove straight into the back of me while I was stationary at some traffic lights with the handbrake on.



He accepted full responsibility at the scene but has since been really difficult and wouldn't give me his insurance details. The next thing I know I get a phone call from his broker claiming I reversed into him!



A quick call to my insurance company and they tracked him down, and reckon I will have no problem winning the argument, thankfully. Although I am still trying to secure some video evidence from the area.

Originally looked like just a new bumper needed.



Up on opening the boot, it will no longer close as the floor pan has crumpled a bit:











On the nearside the force of the impact has caused a slight kink in the rear quarter panel.







I'm absolutely gutted as I loved her to bits.



The insurance company are coming to value her tomorrow, and will no doubt write her off on the spot as is the practice with a minute scratch on MG/Rovers these days.



Realistically what should I be looking to settle on for a cash payout and getting to keep the vehicle?
