rover 25 doors lock when driving

Hi everyone 1st post hope someone can help. I have a rover 25 1.4 2005 reg. when the car starts and is being driven the central locking operates and locks the doors (its a 3 door).Problem arose when i got out of the car left the engine running and opened a gate only for the central locking to operate and lock me out of the car with the engine running.

Eventually managed to get into the car by stripping the rubber on the drivers door and poking the unlock button on the dash.

Can i cancel the c/locking from doing this.
