is it k-seal?

Had my 45 for a couple of weeks now & have completed around 700 trouble free miles already including a 400 mile round trip on Sunday.

I changed the coolant last week & noticed what i thought to be copper grease in the expansion tank bottom.Ready through other posts i now realise that it's probably k-seal? I assumed the HG had had copper grease smeared on it when it was replaced at 57k(now on 70k).I'd never come across k-seal before so had no idea it was copper based.

In my service history there is mention of a HG change at 57k but no garage receipts as such.I'm now panicking that it was probably never changed & just had k-seal thrown in!

The thing is it drives lovely. Was sitting happily between 70-90(overtaking)for over 3 hours.Hasn't used any oil/water & no gunk in expansion tank or on oil filler cap.No loss of power,no steam & the temp gauge stays at just under half way all the time.

Whats bothering me is could my car be driving that well with just k-seal as a repair & 13k on or is it more likely that it was used as a quick fix & then the HG was changed. Is there any other tell tale signs for a HG change? I'm dead worried about doing such a long trip again if it is relying on the k-seal.Any help/reassurance much appreciated.Simon.
