My F sounds like a demented grass hopper!!!

While replacing the head gasket on my 99F VVC I decided to take the opportunity to replace the 48mm Throttle body with a 52mm one and replace the air box with a K&N Apollo (enclosed) induction kit.

The car is going fine after and perhaps even a wee bit better at low revs however I now get some very strange whistling and chirping sounds from the engine bay. At times it sounds like a demented grass hopper but mostly it gives a high pitched whistle depending on the throttle position.

At first I thought it was funny and didn't mind it but now it is starting to annoy.



Is this normal with an induction kit or is there an issue with the throttle body?
